Did you know that as a Christian you are in a most worthy and precious condition? That is why we are called to sometimes experience rejection and other persecutions. That is what Hebrews 11:38 is telling us. The writer of Hebrews spoke of those who had been persecuted by rejection and some martyred as, "men of whom the world was not worthy." God’s point is that we are most worthy and precious to God, and the world is not worthy of our fellowship. The world’s rejection of us is actually a sovereign God’s judgment of them!

What are some of the reasons why we are in a most worthy and precious condition? First, we are objects of God’s favor. We are no longer objects of divine wrath, but of divine love, grace, and mercy. We are also in a most worthy and precious condition because of our union with Christ. We are united with the beloved Son, with whom the Father is well pleased.
